More than 100 Artists Showcase Work in Downtown Glencoe
Art lives on the streets of Glencoe.
Vernon and Park Avenues in downtown Glencoe were overrun by artists July 30-31 as the Glencoe Festival of Art came to town. This year featured roughly 125 artists from across the country working in a large variety of mediums.
Painting, photography, drawing, jewelry, furniture, sculptures, and more could be found among the booths. Despite the oppressive heat blanketing the area this weekend, crowds of enthusiastic patrons could not be kept away.

"It's a free admission event so it gives residents and people coming to Glencoe something nice to do," said Amy Amdur of Amdur Productions, the company that puts on the event in cooperation with the Village and the Chamber of Commerce. "It's a real comfortable show. It's the right kind of show for this community."
