will soon release its salary and compensation numbers for the 2011-2012 school year. To compare, we took a look at the numbers for the 2010-2011 school year.

The district added to its site the numbers for the 2011-2012. I've attached the 2010-2011 school year document to the article so you can take a full look. Here's the breakdown.

Of the district's 222 teachers listed in the salary report, 54 receive more than $100K in salary and other benefits.

• Between $80,000 and $89,999: 30
• Between $70,000 and $79,999: 31 
• Between $60,000 and $69,999: 41
• Between $50,000 and $59,999: 33
• Between $40,000 and $49,999: 5
• Between $30,000 and $39,999: 4
• Between $20,000 and $29,999: 5

District 68's average teacher salary is $68,524, with its average teacher having 12.5 years of experience, according to the Illinois State Board of Education. That's slightly higher than Darien School Distrist 61, with has an average teacher salary of $61,618 and 10.7 years of experience.
