2,000 Chromebooks Coming to Downers Grove District 58

The Downers Grove Grade School District 58 board of education approved a lease for 2,000 Dell Chromebooks and management licenses at its Monday meeting, costing $560,838 over three years, according to the district.

The new computers will replace old MacBook computers used for testing and to supplement iPad learning, according to mySuburbanLife.com.

Having Chromebooks in District 58 is expected to provide consistency for students who will graduate to District 99 schools, which are planning to implement a 1:1 learning program with Chromebooks.
