Downers Grove, IIl. - DuPage Medical Group (DMG), the largest independent, multi-specialty physician group in the Chicago area, has added to its administrative leadership team, naming Krishna Ramachandran as chief information and transformation officer.
Ramachandran will play a hands-on role in positioning DMG as one of Chicago’s most progressive and innovative practitioners of health care. He leads the company’s Value Driven Health Care (VDHC) initiative which focuses on improving patient outcomes, reducing health care costs, and increasing patient access to care. Ramachandran’s expanded role will include collaborating with DMG’s physicians to implement the latest advancements in treatment and technology. He will also oversee DMG’s information systems and technical infrastructure.
Prior to this appointment, Ramachandran served as DMG’s executive director of VDHC. He joined DMG in June 2010 as director of VDHC and was promoted in September 2011.

“Krishna has an impressive track record of delivering results,” said DMG CEO Mike Kasper. “He has demonstrated the ability to lead organizational change, maximize technology use, and motivate cross-functional teams. We are very proud to have him help lead this next charge.”
Ramachandran is affiliated with several prominent associations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Chicago Health Executives Forum (the largest local chapter of ACHE), the American Medical Group Association (AMGA), and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). He holds a Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago. In his free time, he volunteers as a process improvement advisor at DuPage Community Clinic. He also advises start-up health care IT companies.
