Have you ever wondered if the animal eating your tomatoes was an
opossum, a fox, or a squirrel? In this 3-hour Animal Tracking workshop
you will learn to identify critters by the footprints they leave on the
earth. Sometimes the prints aren't very clear, so we'll also learn to
recognize the patterns of their gates. Participants will practice
walking like the "quiet walkers", the "ready-to-runs", and the "tough
guys" of the woods!
After gathering all of this knowledge, we
will head out to the nature trail and put it to the test! See what you
discover out in the woods as we explore the 1/2 mile trail around Lake
St. Benedict, right here on campus at Benedictine University!
This family-friendly event is being offered for FREE by the Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum.
The museum is located on the 2nd floor of the Birck Hall of Science at Benedictine University.
Registration is required. Email JuricaSuchyMuseum@ben.edu or call (630) 829-6531.
