Apply to be a Substitute Teacher at District 58

Downers Grove Grade School District 58 seeks new substitute teachers for the 2015-16 school year. Applicants must hold a valid substitute license or teacher’s license.

This school year, the District increased its substitute pay rate to $105 (Level 1) and $110 (Level 2) per full day. The half-day rate is $50. District 58 substitutes work from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Half-day subs work from 8 to 11:55 a.m. or 11:56 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To apply, please complete the following four steps:

1. Fill out an online application, available at www.dg58.org/employment.
2. Complete substitute teacher paperwork, available on the Substitute Information page at http://dg58.org/domain/886. Please submit paperwork to the District 58 Administrative Service Center, 1860 63rd St., Downers Grove, IL 60516.
3. Once the online application and the paperwork are both submitted, applicants will receive forms to be fingerprinted at the DuPage Regional Office in Wheaton. Submit fingerprint results to the District 58 office.
4. Applicants will then receive an email from AESOP, the District’s online substitute system, with mandatory online substitute training.

When the above four steps are complete, applicants will be added to the District 58 substitute list.
