Armed Robbery At Subway Restaurant In Woodridge

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Subway Restaurant at 1970 87th Street Thursday. Officers arrived on the scene at approximately 5 p.m. after an employee called to report the incident.

Police say the employee told them the suspect came into the Subway restaurant, pointed a handgun, and demanded the cash from the register. After the cashier gave him the cash, the suspect fled the restaurant. The suspect is described as a "male, possibly black," wearing black clothing and driving a gray vehicle, according to a press release.
