Barbecue With Live Music To Benefit Tornado Victims In Woodridge
The Aug. 25 barbecue "friendraiser" will also feature food from Seven Bridges Golf Club, Doggie Diner and Coldstone Creamery.

WOODRIDGE, IL — Residents are invited to come together Aug. 25 for a benefit barbecue that offers local eats, live music and more to aid victims of the June 20 tornado that hit Woodridge and surrounding suburbs. The Do Good BBQ fundraiser will feature ensemble violin music from the CoverGirls, along with food from Seven Bridges Golf Club, Doggie Diner and Coldstone Creamery at Seven Bridges.
Phil Rogers of NBC Chicago will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the event, the proceeds from which will be donated to the Woodridge Rotary Tornado Relief Fund. Raffle tickets will also be available to give attendees a chance to win prizes for a good cause.
"Our community is blessed to have so many neighbors that truly care for each other and want
to help,” Woodridge Mayor Gina Cunningham said in a news release.

Cunningham added, “The Woodridge Rotary Club is a 501c3 that continues to accept charitable donations that will ultimately go towards assisting those impacted by the tornado. This friendraiser is sure to be enjoyable and memorable. As Woodridge continues to recover, rebuild,
and replant, we know that Woodridge is stronger together."
