Benet Girls Cross Country Team Off to State

The Benet Academy girls cross country team qualified for the 3A State Cross Country meet by taking fifth at the sectional meet on Saturday.

The girls cross country team qualified for the 3A State Cross Country meet on Saturday. 

The team took fifth at the 3A sectional meet. Benet is the only private school to qualify for state in the 3A class, according to Coach Scott Brooks. 

It is the 10th time in the program's history that the team has qualified for state. The last time Benet qualified was 2008.

Benet's top finisher at sectionals was Junior Audrey Blazek, who took 19th with a time of 17:47.
