Business Profile: Canine Corner and Kitty Boutique

We got the chance to speak with Jessica Watson, owner of Canine Corner and Kitty Boutique. Watson and good friend Nicole Aguinaga own the fun and professional pet grooming service on 75th and Janes, just west of 355.

Patch: What services do you offer?

Watson: We're the only business to offer dog and cat grooming in Woodridge.

Patch: How did you get started in the pet grooming business?

Watson: I started showing collies and working with a rescue shelter. After helping take care of the dogs, I started learning how to groom. Nicole went to school for dog grooming.

Patch: What do you love about working with animals?

Watson: We're both happy coming to work every day. It's the best job ever. The dogs are happy to see you, and people are happy to have us take care of their pets.

Patch: Why did you choose Woodridge for your business?

Watson: We've been familiar with Woodridge and known the people in this area for years and years. Nicole grew up down the street, and I worked in the area.

Patch: Do you have any tips for keeping our pets look their best?

Watson: Set up a regular grooming schedule. It can be anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks depending on the breed, but we're happy to guide our customers through the process and find what's best for their pet.
