UPDATED 7/4/2026: WOODRIDGE-DOWNERS GROVE FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS TO BE RESCHEDULEDAfter continued evaluation of today's weather and site conditions, the Woodridge–Downers Grove Fourth of July Fireworks Show will be rescheduled to a later date.Unfortunately, the condition of the grounds at the launch site has made it unsafe for our fireworks vendor to set up and safely conduct the fireworks display. Based on those site conditions, our fireworks vendor has determined that today's show cannot proceed.Unfortunately, we are not able to reschedule the fireworks for tomorrow, as our vendor is already committed to other contracted Independence Day events.The Village of Woodridge and the Village of Downers Grove will work with our fireworks vendor to identify a new date for the fireworks display. Once that date is confirmed, we will share it with the community as soon as possible. We understand how disappointing this news is. We know the Fourth of July fireworks are a cherished tradition for many families, and we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding. We look forward to celebrating with our community on the rescheduled date.Please stay tuned to our Village of Woodridge website at www.woodridgeil.gov and our official social media pages for updates regarding the rescheduled date.

The West Suburban Community Pantry (WSCP) will host a Drive-Thru Mobile Food Pantry on Tuesday, July 7 from 4pm - 5pm at New Hope Baptist Church. This Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry offers individuals and families free food and grocery items, including fresh meat, bread, eggs, produce and household items (items may vary).
You may place your order online by visiting the West Suburban Community Pantry website (<a href="https://www.wscpantry.org" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.wscpantry.org</a>). Select New Hope Baptist Church as the place for pickup. Register and Place Your Order Saturday, July 4 through&nbsp;Monday, July 6 @ 3pm to assure your food selections will be available at New Hope on July 7,&nbsp;the day of the drive-thru event. Bring your order confirmation when you pick up your order.
