TO BE RESCHEDULED: Woodridge–Downers Grove 4th of July Fireworks

UPDATED 7/4/2026: WOODRIDGE-DOWNERS GROVE FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS TO BE RESCHEDULED

After continued evaluation of today's weather and site conditions, the Woodridge–Downers Grove Fourth of July Fireworks Show will be rescheduled to a later date.

Unfortunately, the condition of the grounds at the launch site has made it unsafe for our fireworks vendor to set up and safely conduct the fireworks display. Based on those site conditions, our fireworks vendor has determined that today's show cannot proceed.

Unfortunately, we are not able to reschedule the fireworks for tomorrow, as our vendor is already committed to other contracted Independence Day events.

The Village of Woodridge and the Village of Downers Grove will work with our fireworks vendor to identify a new date for the fireworks display. Once that date is confirmed, we will share it with the community as soon as possible. We understand how disappointing this news is.

We know the Fourth of July fireworks are a cherished tradition for many families, and we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding. We look forward to celebrating with our community on the rescheduled date.
