Cops Dole Out 43 Tickets During Halloween Safety Campaign In Woodridge
Woodridge police increased patrols between Oct. 16 and Oct. 31 in an effort to make the roads safer for Halloween.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge police issued 43 tickets during their most recent traffic safety campaign, which took place in the days leading up to Halloween.
In all, the following tickets were issued:
- 13 speeding tickets
- Eight distracted driving tickets
- Six tickets for driving without insurance
- Six seatbelt tickets
- Three tickets for child safety seat violations
- Seven tickets for other violations
The Halloween safety campaign involved increased patrols from Oct. 16 through Oct. 31, especially late at night. The Woodridge Police Department's efforts were part of a statewide initiative funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
