Cops Will Increase Patrols For St. Patrick's Day In Woodridge
Police plan to crack down on impaired drivers before and throughout the weekend.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Police in Woodridge are planning to increase patrols through St. Patrick's Day weekend. The push is part of the nationwide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns and will run from March 13 through the morning of March 23.
“With St. Patrick’s Day falling on a Tuesday this year, we expect celebrations throughout the entire week — plus the weekends before and after,” Woodridge Police Chief Tom Stefanson said in a statement.
He added, “We urge everyone to celebrate responsibly. Plan ahead for a sober ride home before you leave
the house — your safety and the safety of others depends on it.”
