DGS Girls Cross Country Takes 12th in State

Strelau took 62nd, Baylark-Rasul took 94th, Thate took 99th, Rotunno took 106th, Friedrich took 156th and Wicklein took 182nd.

The DGS team qualified for state this year for the first time in a decade. DGS took first out of 21 teams at its IHSA Sectional meet in Lockport Oct. 29.
The Sectional championship is the third in school history and the first since 1990.

New Trier High School took first in state with 82 points. Wheaton Warrenville South took second with 144 points and Naperville North took third with 183 points.
