District 58 Board Seeks Applicants to Fill Unexpired Term
All applications are due in the Board office no later than 4 p.m. Sept. 2.

On Wednesday, August 5, 2015, the Downers Grove Grade School District 58 Board of Education received the resignation of Member James Paul.
President John Cooper has announced that the Board will be seeking applicants to fill the unexpired term, which runs until April 2017. Jim Paul was elected to the Board in April 2013.

Citizens interested in being appointed by the District 58 Board of Education to Mr. Paul’s unexpired term should contact the Board Secretary, Pamela A. Osika, at the Board of Education office, 1860 63rd Street, Downers Grove, or by telephone at (630) 719-5803.
Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. All applications are due in the Board office no later than 4:00 p.m.,Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Selected applicants will be interviewed on the evening of Wednesday, September 9th. If additional time is required, interviews will also be conducted on Tuesday, September 15th following the regular Board meeting and/or Wednesday, September 16th as well as Thursday, September 17th.

Interested citizens must complete an application and submit it to the Board office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2; be at least 18 years of age; be a citizen of the United States and a registered voter; be a resident of the State of Illinois and Downers Grove Grade School District 58 for at least one year preceding appointment; be neither a school trustee nor a school treasurer; and must not be a child sex offender as defined in State law.
