Dog Bite Sends Woman To Hospital In Woodridge
Animal control has taken custody of a pit bull that bit a woman at a Woodridge apartment complex as an investigation continues.

WOODRIDGE, IL -- A woman was hospitalized on Thursday after she was bit by a pit bull at an apartment complex in Woodridge.
Woodridge police responded to the River Crossing Condominium Complex in the 3400 block of 83rd Street at 3:44 p.m., when they provided first aid to the woman. They say she was bit while walking through the complex by a dog who exited a unit through an opened screen door.
The woman sustained multiple injuries and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, police said.

Authorities located the dog and the owner after attending to the woman. The dog will be held by the Du Page County Animal Control as the investigation into the incident continues.
