Downers Grove South Girls Tennis Win Mustang Invitational

The girls’ varsity tennis team (1-1-1) won two matches en route to the Consolation Championship at the Mustang 8-team Invitational last Saturday, beating Rolling Meadows 4-1 and Hersey 5-0.
The young Mustangs saw their number-one singles freshman Christine “Such a freshman” Pavlov (2-2) win her last two matches in impressive style. At number 2, singles junior Captain Vivki “DQ” Andonova (3-1) won all three matches in an outstanding effort on Saturday.
In doubles action, at number one, Captain Dhara “JKB” Puvar and Captain Amy “If I only had a unicorn” Even (both 1-2 on the day) pulled out their last match of the day in solid fashion. At number two and number three doubles respectfully, Macy “Macy-girl” Murray and Supal “Hot Soup” Mehta (3-2-1) won their last two matches and at number three Shivani “Thr Rath” Rathi and Ashley “Mango” Maghirang (4-2) also won their last two matches of the day. It was a great day o be a Mustang!
