The Daily Herald collected a list of 10 notable suburban business people of 2014, and one name might be familiar to Downers Grove residents.
Erin Doyle, of Downers Grove, is the senior manager of specialty implementation at Deerfield-based Walgreens, according to the Herald, but she’s probably more well-known for her strength and determination in recovery. Doyle was severely injured in a 2009 car crash, when a texting truck driver ran into Doyle’s car and another car, according to a Herald article.

Doyle was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, the Herald reported, but she’s reached many milestones since she began physical, occupational and speech therapy.
