The Lombard (Artistic Roller) Skate Club is hosting a fundraiser on Sunday June 12, 2011 Sunday from 6:30-8 pm.
The “Lombard Showcase” will feature performances by club skaters and the children in the weekly Saturday morning skate classes. Children from the Saturday morning class live in or near DuPage County. Club skaters will also perform their competitive routines. Many of the Lombard Skate Club skaters are past or current national champions in freestyle (singles and pairs) and dance.
Roller sports are recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and Federation International de Roller Skating. There will be several items that have been kindly donated by club members and local businesses. Adult tickets $8.00 kids $5.00. Proceeds will help club skaters to pay for costs associated with skating at Nationals.
