The contest was open throughout the month of October and drew in nearly twice as many participants. Last year's spring photography contest yielded 183 entries, Patti Naisbitt, Program Coordinator for Woodridge Public Library told Patch.
Naisbitt added, "The warm and crisp photographs entered in this year's contest have really struct a chord with library patrons and staff. We're really moved by the beautiful images captured close to home as well as impressed by the talents of the photographers that we know as readers and library patrons. The contest brings us all a real sense of community."
