February Celebrations at the Woodridge Library - Mardi Gras & Black History Month

Great entertainers are helping the Woodridge Public Library celebrate throughout February.

On Sunday, February 19 at 2 p.m. acclaimed Creole fiddler, accordionist and singer Dennis Stroughtmatt will perform a Mardi Gras concert that promises to get souls stirring, heads spinning and feet stomping.

Nationally known storyteller and poet Oba William King will bring tales celebrating Black History and traditions to life on Saturday, February 25 at 1 p.m. His inspiring performance is open to all ages with a craft for children to follow.
