1 Hospitalized After Fire Above Taco Express In Westmont: Reports
Officials say the fire left six apartments uninhabitable.
WESTMONT, IL ---Two people were injured and one hospitalized after a blaze broke out in the apartments above Taco Express in Westmont Friday morning. The fire, which left all six apartments uninhabitable, started around 11:40 a.m. at 7 W. Quincy, according to village officials.
Firefighters battled the flames until just after noon, according to a news release, and crews from 15 surrounding fire departments came to help put out the blaze.
Officials say the aftermath of the fire may impact traffic on nearby streets. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
