Football Recap: Downers North, South Headed in Opposite Directions

In case you missed any of the local high school football action this weekend, we have a weekly recap of area scores. 

According to IHSA.org, the area scores included:

    • Downers Grove South (3-2) won 31-24 over Leyden (1-4)
    • Downers Grove North (2-3) lost 17-10 against Lyons (2-3)
    • Hinsdale South (2-3) won 34-21 over Addison Trail (0-5)
    • Hinsdale Central (3-2) lost 37-7 to Glenbard West (4-1)
    Next week's schedule for local teams:
    • Downers Grove South vs. Downers Grove North (1-3), 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4
    • Hinsdale South at Leyden (1-4), 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4
    • Hinsdale Central vs. Lyons (2-3), Noon Oct. 5
