Green Apple Program Raises $2,530 to Support Students

Submitted by Downers Grove Grade School District 58.

The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 thanks all families and friends who made a donation to the Green Apple Teacher/Staff Recognition Program to honor a special District 58 employee in winter/spring 2015.

Thanks to your generosity, $2,530 was raised in honor of 48 employees and one group of employees. This funding will directly support District 58 students and staff through the Education Foundation’s annual teacher grant program, which funds innovative programs in the classroom. In 2014, the District 58 Education Foundation awarded $28,000 in grant funds to District 58 teachers!

The Education Foundation created special Green Apple Award cards for each award recipient, which included a personal message from the giver. Superintendent Dr. Kari Cremascoli and building principals personally delivered the Green Apple Awards to the teachers and staff members.
