High-Speed Chase In Stolen Minivan Lands Woodridge Teen In Jail: Police

Jahamari P. Densmore, 19, of the 2500 block of Waterbury in Woodridge, was sentenced for his involvement in stealing a minivan.

WOODRIDGE, IL — A Woodridge man has been sentenced to jail time after he and another man allegedly stole a minivan, led police on a high-speed chase that sent them over curbs and through two fences until they crashed into a fence in Naperville. Jahamari P. Densmore, 19, of the 2500 block of Waterbury Drive, was driving with Dylan R. Salter, 18, of the 600 block of Kensington Way in Bolingbrook, when the incident took place in May.

The pair was arrested in Woodridge after Naperville cops spotted them in a 2002 Honda Odyssey that had been reported stolen, according to Chicago Tribune. A high-speed chase then ensued, with Densmore and Salter zipping through parking lots in an attempt to get the police off their trail. The chase continued into Naperville, where Densmore and Salter allegedly crashed into the fence of a home on Elm Court.

In July, Densmore was sentenced to 180 days in jail, along with two years of probation that includes paying for damage to the fence on Elm Court and the stolen minivan, Chicago Tribune reports. Salter was sentenced to 112 days in jail, along with two years of probation.
