Hole-in-One Scores Golfer, Charity $$
Weboon Peboontom received $1,000 for himself and $500 for charity after his first-ever hole-in-one.

A hole-in-one always makes for a great story, but this one included extra perks.
Weboon Peboontom, of Woodridge, scored his first-ever hole-in-one at the CHARITEE Challenge at .
His 160-yard tee shot found its home at the Par 3 4th hole of the course.

Besides bragging rights, Peboontom took home a $1,000 check for himself and earned a $500 bonus for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation to support breast cancer research.
According to Brandon Evans, general manager and director of golf at Village Greens, any golfer looking for a little excitement can participate in the CHARITEE Challenge when playing Village Greens of Woodridge.

For a $3 entry fee, golfers can win $1,000 for a hole-n-one, a $20 gift card for a shot within a flagstick, and a free drink simply for entering. A portion of all proceeds goes to a designated charity, and a $500 bonus is paid to the charity for a hole-n-one.
“We’ve been participating on the Charity Challenge for about three weeks, and we congratulate Weboon on becoming our first $1,000 winner,” Evans said in a release. “We’re excited that both Weboon and our designated charity for the month of June, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, are winners because of the CHARITEE Challenge."
