Hundreds Compete in Woodridge Rotary's Mini Triathlon

More than 700 athletes were expected to participate in the Woodridge Rotary Club's 12th annual event.

More than 700 athletes from around the country and overseas were expected at Sunday's Mini Triathlon.

The event, which took place at and the surrounding area, was the 12th for the Rotary Club of Woodridge.

The it hoped to raise $12,500 from the event.

The mini triathlon offers both an adult and kids race. The adult race, for those 13 and older, consists of a 250-yard swim (10 pool lengths), 6.2-mile bike ride and a 2-mile run.

The Rotary Club is still tabulating results to determine the winners. Every kid received a participation medal.
