Illinois State Police Arrest 49, Warn 18 In Anti-Booze Patrols
January results of alcohol countermeasure enforcement patrols announced for Kane and DuPage Counties.
Lieutenant Robert Meeder, of the Illinois State Police, announced the results of special enforcement patrols in Kane and DuPage counties during the month of January.
State troopers issued 49 citations and 18 warnings during the special patrols, which looked for drivers exhibiting signs of impaired driving.

Arrests, citations and warnings included:
- Driving under the influence - 1 arrest
- Drug/alcohol-related offenses - 2 arrests
- Suspended driver’s license citations - 2 arrests
- Speeding citations - 32 arrests, 9 warnings
- Occupant restraint citations - 4 arrests
- Insurance citations - 5 arrests
- Other IVC citations - 3 arrests, 9 warnings
