The Illinois Tollway is in the midst of its largest year of capital spending in agency history, investing $1.63 billion in 2015 on infrastructure projects. Work this year includes continuing to rebuild and widen the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) as a state-of-the-art 21st century corridor, as well as continuing construction of the new, all-electronic Elgin O’Hare Western Access (EOWA) Project.
Altogether, 310 lane miles of roadway will be rebuilt, 122 bridges will be repaired and 20 interchanges will be built or improved.
More than 230 professional services firms have received contracts to work on Move Illinois since the program began and, of those firms, an estimated 33 percent are new to the Tollway as of March 31, 2015.
Individuals from professional service firms who are responsible for preparing and submitting statements of interest should plan to attend the workshops.
The workshops, led by Illinois Tollway Engineering Department staff, will provide an opportunity to ask questions and obtain clarification on information required by the Illinois Tollway in order to successfully complete statement of interests. Submitting a complete and compliant statement of interest in response to a PSB is an essential element of the Illinois Tollway’s evaluation process prior to award.
