Man Dead After 'Domestic' Incident In Woodridge: Cops
A 30-year-old man was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound inside a Woodridge home Sunday evening, police say.
WOODRIDGE, IL — A 30-year-old man was found dead inside a Woodridge home of an apparent gunshot wound Sunday after what police are calling a "domestic-related" incident.
Police were called to a home in the 6800 block of Woodridge Drive at around 5:11 p.m. for a report of shots fired. When they got to the scene, they found the 30-year-old man had sustained an "apparent gunshot wound," a news release said.
The man was taken to Edward Hospital via advanced life support ambulance, Lisle-Woodridge Fire District Deputy Chief Steve Demas told Patch Monday via email. Demas said the scene had been secured by police before paramedics arrived.

Woodridge police say there is no threat to the public. They urge anyone with information about the incident to call 630-960-8998 or email a crime tip to crimetips@vil.woodridge.il.us.
No further information was available as of 3:40 p.m. Monday, Woodridge Police Department spokesperson James Hoff told Patch.
