More Than $48K In Jewelry, Cash Stolen From Home In Westmont

Police say there were no signs of forced entry to the home.

WESTMONT, IL --- Police in Westmont are investigating a home burglary in which more than $48,000 in jewelry and cash was taken from a home. The burglary took place in the 200 block of W. 60th Street sometime last week and was reported to police on Sunday when the victim's discovered the break-in.

The victim told police that they left their home unattended on Oct. 21 and returned Oct. 27 to find that cash and multiple pieces of jewelry had been stolen. Police say there were no signs of forced entry to the home.

The total loss was estimated at $48,126.
