3 Arrested, More Than 80 Ticketed During Labor Day Crackdown In Woodridge

WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge police issued 84 tickets during a recent Labor Day traffic safety campaign. They also made three arrests.

Deputy Chief Dennis Brinkman told Patch two people were arrested for driving with a suspended license and one person was arrested for driving without a license.

According to an update from the Woodridge Police Department, 31 of the arrests were for violations related to seatbelts or child safety seats.

“Through the Labor Day safety campaign, we helped to make our roads safer and spread the word about the risks of impaired driving – ‘It’s Not a Game,’” remarked Woodridge Police Chief Tom Stefanson.

The Labor Day safety campaign, which began Aug. 14 and ran through Sept. 7, is part of the statewide "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober of Get Pulled Over" initiatives.
