NIU Huskie Marching Band to perform at the Downers Grove South Music Bowl

The Music Bowl on Oct. 26 will feature 19 competing bands.

The 2014 Music Bowl will be held Oct. 25 at the Downers Grove South High School turf stadium.

The Music Bowl will feature 19 competing bands, a guest performance by the NIU Huskie Marching Band and an exhibition performance by the Downers Grove South Marching Mustangs, according to a news release.

Thirty-one marching bands will show off their half time performances.

“Students put in hundreds of extracurricular hours preparing, rehearsing, and performing shows throughout the summer and fall,” according to the news release. “Band camp week at Downers Grove South High School consisted of more than 64 hours of conditioning and learning basics, drill, formations, dances, music and putting it all together.

The South Music Bowl is a final performance of the season for many participating bands.

Ticket prices:
Adults: $10.00
Seniors and Students (age 6+): $7.00
Children (age 5 & under): Free;

Family Plan: $30.00- A Family Plan consists of a maximum of 2 adults and up to 3 students/seniors. Only 2 (non-Senior) adults allowed on a family plan ticket.
