O'Neill Students Earn Top Honors in Junior High Art Contest
Students from The Avery Coonley School were also recognized in the Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club art contest.

The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club honored several student artists through its annual Junior High Art Contest.
Five students from O’Neill Middle School and three Avery Coonley students earned recognition, according to a news release. The contest was open to all junior high students living within District 58 and District 66.

“Our students are incredibly talented and creative,” said O’Neill art teacher Elizabeth Lukes in a statement. “They certainly deserve this recognition, and I’m very proud of them!”
The club honored the recipients during a February ceremony. The winning artwork is on display at The Community Bank of Downers Grove.
