Rep. Sandack Receives Guardian of Small Business Award

Representative Sandack has been awarded the "Guardian of Small Business" award.

State Representative Ron Sandack (R-Downers Grove) has been awarded the “Guardian of Small Business” award by the National Federation of Independent Business/Illinois (NFIB).

The award is issued every other year, and is based on key small business votes taken in the Illinois General Assembly. In order to be named a Guardian of Small Business, legislators must score an 80% or better on the NFIB voting record.

According to Kim Clark Maisch, State Director of NFIB/Illinois, Sandack posted a perfect score on his votes that affect small business. “Representative Ron Sandack leads the fight against many of the anti-small business bills in Springfield,” she said. “He has a perfect record-100%- which shows his steadfast commitment to the job creators in the 81st District.”

Sandack, a member of the General Assembly since 2010, said he was honored to be recognized for his votes on behalf of small business owners. “It’s not government that creates jobs; its small businesses that create them,” said Sandack. “As legislators we must ensure that those job creators have the support and tools they need to be successful.”

Sandack represents Illinois’ 81st House District, which includes portions of Bolingbrook, Downers Grove, Darien, Lisle, Naperville, Westmont and Woodridge.
