Senior Citizens from the southeastern part of DuPage County
are invited to attend a free Senior Technology Fair on Friday, June 13 from
10:00-11:00 am at the Downers Grove Park District’s Active Adult Center.
The event, sponsored by State Representative Ron Sandack
(R-Downers Grove), will feature experts from AT&T, who will discuss how
wireless technologies like smart phones and computers can help seniors manage
prescriptions, pay bills, and allow them to stay connected with loved ones. “Today’s
wireless technologies are exciting, but they can also be very daunting and
overwhelming,” said Sandack. “Through this partnership with AT&T,
easy-to-understand information will be provided so that area seniors can learn
about new advances in wireless technology and have their questions answered by
professionals.”
The free event begins at 10:00 am in the Lincoln Center
Auditorium at Downers Grove Park District’s Active Adult Center, 935 Maple
Avenue in Downers Grove. Refreshments will be served. Registration is required,
as seating is limited. Those who wish to attend may register by calling
Sandack’s office at 630-737-0504.
