Rep. Sandack to Partner with House and Senate Leaders for June 7 Children’s Safety Expo

Children and families from southern DuPage County are
invited to attend a free Children’s Safety Expo on Saturday, June 7, from
9AM-Noon at Lakeview Jr. High School in Downers Grove.

State Representatives Ron Sandack (R-Downers Grove) is
partnering with House Republican Leader Jim Durkin (R-Western Springs) and
Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) for the event. “This expo
promises to be a lot of fun for kids of all ages,” said Sandack. “In addition
to the 45 booths at the event, children and their families can see the LIFESTAR
Chicago Helicopter at 9:30 and enjoy the Traveling World of Reptiles Show at
10:30.”

According to Sandack, there will be an interactive Karate
class at 10:00 before the live reptile show at 10:30. Those who attend can also
enjoy a large “Touch a Truck” display, which will include about 20 different
vehicles, including squad cars, dump trucks, backhoes, an ambulance, a ladder
fire truck and S.W.A.T vehicle. Kids can also visit a face painting booth at
the expo.
