Libraries across the nation are calling attention to our right to read in response to a nationwide trend of book challenges and bans.

Right to Read Monday
The Woodridge Public Library, along with libraries across the United States, is observing April 24, the Monday of National Library Week, as Right to Read Day.

Celebrate your freedom to read: stop by the Woodridge Public Library and check out a book, and throughout National Library Week, WPL patrons can choose a “Read” or “I Love my Library” bookmark. E-book checkouts and downloads are also encouraged.

No library card? Make Monday the day! Woodridge residents are eligible for a library card and should visit the Library at 3 Plaza Drive in Woodridge's Town Centre--near the Post Office--with their current I.D. showing a Woodridge address to get a card.
