Ruck March to Combat Hunger

Woodridge Memorial Post 1578 will be marching to combat hunger. It will be held on Saturday June 24th to benefit The West Suburban Community Pantry in Woodridge. Food collection sites will be available at participating businesses in Woodridge during the month of June. Food items most in need are rice (white or whole grain), pasta noodles, and jelly or jam (i.e. that which kids would use in a Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich).

The Ruck March will begin 10:00 at St. Scholastica Church 7800 Janes Ave in Woodridge and marching 2.2 miles to Shannahan’s Pub where participants will enjoy light appetizers and a cash bar. Ruck or backpack is recommended but not required.

This event is open to the public; Adults $20 and children 12 and under $10.
