Schools in Western Suburbs to Open Friday

Dangerously low winter temperatures kept some schools closed Wednesday and Thursday this week. The fate of Friday classes is still to-be-determined for many in the western suburbs.

The following schools in Downers Grove, Woodridge, Hinsdale, Darien and Burr Ridge have reported they will be open Friday, Jan. 9, according to the Emergency Closing Center website.

- District 61
- District 62
- District 68
- District 86
- District 99
- District 181
- Our Lady of Peace
- St. Isaac Jogues
- St. Joseph School- Downers Grove
School is not in session for all CCSD180 schools on Friday, Jan. 9, according to the district website.
