WOODRIDGE, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.
This nomination comes from Robert Rassano of Woodridge, who nominated Alexxa Rassano, also of Woodridge.

Nurse
<b>Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?</b>
Alexxa is a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital and she has been working the COVID-19 Unit since the virus started.
<b>What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?: </b>
She is selfless as are all her coworkers. She goes to work and never complains that she is working the [coronavirus] Unit. She says she would rather [work there] because those patients need her help the most.
