Shop Woodridge for Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is Nov. 29, and the Village of Woodridge is inviting people to patron local stores for the holidays.

“Shopping Woodridge small businesses is not a mere exchange of money for product – it is an important investment in our local Community, “ said Linda Hymes of The Hymes Law Office and the Chair of the Seven Bridges Business Association, in a statement. “When you shop Woodridge small business, you are telling the merchant / service provider that you support that business!”

Small Business Saturday is sponsored by American Express, and it encourages people to shop at small businesses the Saturday following Thanksgiving.

Mayor Cunningham explained in a statement the advantages of shopping in the village.

“Woodridge not only has businesses to meet your holiday shopping needs - it has a lower sales tax rate than many of its surrounding communities. Paying less in sales tax means more money in your pocket this holiday season.”
