Downers South Tennis Takes Glenbard Tourney Title

Despite missing two star players, the Mustangs brought home another win.

Editor's note: The following press release is from DGS Boys Tennis Coach Peter Freischlag.

With superstar freshman Tony Leto (7-0) in California at a national tournament and junior All-Stater Jon Artus (14-1) taking the ACT, the Mustang Boys Tennis Team (13-1) headed into the prestigious 8-team Glenbard West Invitational a bit uncertain as to how they would fair.

But the Mustangs did not have to wait long to remind the field that their top-10 ranking and season’s success has not been by accident as they demolished the field winning 3 of the 5 flights and winning 13 of 15 matches played.
