Kick-off Halloween Downtown Downers Grove with a weekend full of spooky and non-spooky events for the whole family. While enjoying all of the Spooktacular events don’t forget to stop in downtown boutiques and restaurants.
Friday • October 24th
Main Street Cemetery at Night for Families presented by the Downers Grove Park District Explore Historic Main Street Cemetery in the evening. Tour the graveyard and enjoy stories and little known facts about the people buried in the Main Street Cemetery. $25/$38 per household (R/NR). 7:00-8:15 pm. Contact www.dgparks.org to register.

Suburban Horror Story presented by the Downers Grove Park District Oct. 24th & 25th
If you dare, come spend an evening of terror as the dark halls of the Lincoln Center reveal a grisly horror story right before your eyes. Recommended Age: 10 yrs+ R/NR: $8 at the door. 7:30-10:30pm.

10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Living Cemetery: Presented by the Downers Grove Historical Society is again at the Main Street Cemetery. The heart of Living Cemetery is a cast of costumed actors portraying figures of various ages and walks of life buried in the cemetery. As visitors tour the grounds they can gather around each figure to be told a bit of her or his life in old Downers Grove.
Sunday • October 26th
1:00 p.m. Halloween Costume Parade: Meet at the parking lot west of the Main Street Train Station (on Burlington Avenue) in costume at 12:30p.m. The DG Lions Club costume parade kicks off at 1:00pm and proceeds down Main Street to Fishel Park.
Safe Trick or Treating at Downtown Merchants: Starts after the Costume Parade and ends at 3pm.
