Spring Brings Outdoor Events at the Woodridge Park District

Motion Explosion

Friday, May 4 │ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm │ All ages │Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Park parking lot, 8301 S. Janes Ave., Woodridge

This free event combines the Kite Fly and Touch-A-Truck components into one big Motion Explosion! Children are able to get up close and personal with working vehicles, jump on inflatables, ride on a trackless train and enjoy pony rides. Pitch, Hit & Run Skills Competition

Saturday, May 5 │ 9:00 am – 11:00 am │ Ages 7-14 │Orchard Hill Park, 8413 S. Janes Ave., Woodridge

The MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Skills Competition is a national skills competition for boys and girls between the ages of 7-14 years old. Boys and girls in four separate age groups compete against each other in pitching, hitting and running. The program is free but pre-registration using activity code #1396 is required to participate. Boys will use baseballs and girls will use softballs.

Fling Into Spring Disc Golf Event

Saturday, May 12 │ 10:30 am – 1:30 pm │Ages 14 & older │Castaldo Park Disc Golf Course, 3024 71st Street, Woodridge

Play 18 holes of disc golf at the annual Fling Into Spring Disc Golf Event. We will have a closest to the pin contest among other challenging activities. You may preregister or pay onsite the day of the event. The cost is $8 for park district residents and $12 for nonresidents.
