Free Wellness Program Spurs Healthy Habits At West Suburban Pantry
The free, family-oriented program offers fitness sessions, cooking demos and other resources to encourage healthy eating and exercise.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Families can dive into fitness by taking part in a free program hosted by West Suburban Community Pantry (WSCP). The 'Spring Into Wellness' program includes fitness sessions, cooking demos and other resources that will help families learn to adapt healthful habits.
Attendees will get a headstart on making their own wellness journal and can sample vegetable dishes and smoothies during the cooking demonstrations. Free giveaway items will be available, including water bottles, recipes and ingredients.
Support staff provide strategies, programs, resources and one-on-one counseling to help customers and their families overcome challenges and thrive.

“We recognize that there’s a hierarchy of needs, and after we address the most immediate need for healthy food, we work to connect clients with additional information and resources to improve their quality of life," WSCP Director of Support Services Kristin Jachymiak said in a statement.
Jachymiak added, "This wellness event is a free opportunity for our customers to learn about, and actively participate in healthy living. It is also a morning that families can spend together during spring break to have fun and to socialize."

Spring Into Wellness will be held March 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at WSCP, 6809 Hobson Valley Dr., Woodridge.
