Stitching for a Cause: Art Display at the Woodridge Public Library
Helping Children at Almost Home Kids

Throughout January, the Woodridge Public Library Art Gallery will showcase a beautiful collection of handmade fabric quilts by the Homeward Bound Quilters. The exhibit, titled The Art of Quilting, highlights the craftsmanship and creativity of this Woodridge-based group, known for their charitable work.
The Homeward Bound Quilters are a dedicated group of women who create quilts for the children at Almost Home Kids, a facility providing transitional care for children preparing to leave the hospital but still requiring extended medical and nursing care. Each child receives a quilt to keep during their stay and to take home as a special gift.
All quilts are made from 100% cotton fabric, ensuring comfort and warmth for the children.

An Artists' Reception will be held on January 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the lobby of the Woodridge Public Library, where guests can meet the quilters and learn more about their inspiring work.
Throughout the month of January, the quilts on display will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going toward the purchase of materials to create more quilts for the children at Almost Home Kids.
