Talk Hopes To Bring Light To Sexual Assault In DuPage County

The event features a panel of sexual assault advocates, prosecutors, and educators on Women's Equality Day.

WESTMONT, IL — A group of sexual assault advocates, educators, and prosecutors will get together for a panel discussion in Westmont to shed light on sexual assault in DuPage County. The Aug. 25 event, called Shining Light on Sexual Assault in DuPage County, is hosted by the Democratic Women of DuPage County, and features DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin, Kerry O'Connor, Sexual Assault Nurse Evaluator Coordinator for Edward-Elmhurst Hospitals, and other experienced speakers.

The panel discussion has been billed as a "candid conversation" about the ongoing issue of sex assault and how to help victims in DuPage County. Speakers will share statistics and stories of struggle and inspiration as they tackle this often painful subject.
