Two Garage Burglaries Reported On Same Block In Westmont: Police
Police say both burglaries were committed on garages that had been left unlocked.

WESTMONT, IL — Westmont police are investigating a pair of burglaries that took place at two garages on the same block within a day of each other. Both burglaries were committed in the first block of Hudson St. between August 7 and August 9, according to a police summary.
The first burglary took place on August 7 sometime between 6:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. The victim told police that someone got into their unlocked garage and stole electronics items and sunglasses from their car. The total loss was estimated at $870.
Another burglary was reported in the first block of Hudson. Police say the resident told them their garage was burglarized sometime between 10 p.m. on August 8 and 7 a.m. on August 9. Their garage had also reportedly been left unlocked, but police say that nothing was reported missing.
